The Robert's court has today decided that corporations have more of a right to free speech than you do. Sad day for democracy.
This decision was bigger than the Dread Scott decision. The Dread Scott decision lead to the Civil War, this one will lead to the end of democracy and possibly the dissolution of the union. George W. Bush though his proxy Chief Justice Roberts has accomplished his ultimate goal and cemented his place in history as the worst president ever, at least in foreign history books, ours will be written by corporations with a vested interest.
Oh you think I am an alarmist? Communism cannot exist in a vacuum without checks and balances and that has been proven by its failure, neither can Capitalism. As of today our political system is wholly owned by corporate interests. No politician will dare stand up against the swell of money that will surely be put against him if he dares stand up to the corporate gods.
Where does that leave you, us, the little people? We are just pawns. Our jobs will continue to be out sourced, until we agree to work for Indian wages. We will have cities like Latin America, the rich living behind guarded walls and the vast majority living on starvation wages. You doubt me? Tell me about it in ten years. This is undoubtedly the end of America
I am not proud to say that the ACLU was a party to this decision, who despite demonizing from the right has defended all sorts of right wing idiots in free speech cases, of which this was one. Everyone is entitled to be wrong every now and then, but nobody should ever be this wrong.
